Enseignement
Christian Michaux taught and teaches various subjects in mathematics : elementary mathematics, algebra, algorithmic, model theory, recursive functions theory, nonstandard analysis, mathematical logic to undergraduate and graduate students.
Recherche
Christian Michaux 's research interests include model theory of algebraic structures, automata theory, abstract computation theory and educational mathematics. He is head of the department of mathematical logic of the University of Mons (from 2001), dean of the Faculty of Science from 2007, president of the Centre de Recherche sur l'Enseignement des Mathématiques (French Community of Belgium) from 2004. He was several times invited abroad for long period (Isaac Newton Institute in Cambridge, MSRI Berkeley, Montréal, Paris, ENS Lyon, RWTH Aachen, Barcelona, ...).
