Olivier VERLINDEN
Teaching
Olivier Verlinden teaches in the fields of the motion of mechanical systems (kinematics, statics and dynamics of mechanical systems), computer simulation of multibody system dynamics, sound and vibration, and mechatronics (active mechanical systems, actuators, sensors, microcontrollers).
Research
Olivier Verlinden leads research in the fields of vibration (environmental vibrations induced by railway vehicles, vibration design of embarked electronic boards), computer simulation of multibody systems, and mechatronics with applications related to the design of an active ankle orthosis, and robotic machining. He has been involved in numerous PhD theses as supervisor, co-supervisor or member of the steering committee.
