Neurophysiology and Physiology Brain Plasticity
Research
The researches of the laboratory focus on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of glutamatergic synaptic plasticity in the central nervous system in health and disease. Our approach consists of a combination of electrophysiological, molecular and cellular approaches. We develop and apply state-of-the-art electrophysiogical techniques. We combine this physiological read-out with behavioral measurements, immunohistochemistry and proteome analysis. We worked on normal mice and on animal models of disease, such as Alzheimer’s disease, auto-immune diseases or dopamine-related disorders.
