Teaching
My teaching activities cover several topics from my department (machine design and production engineering): geometry, technical drawing and CAD, metrology, topography, manufacturing processes and mechanical design. In addition, a significant part of the pedagogical activity of the department is linked to students projects. I am member of the steering comitee for the project in bachelor. For the students focusing in mechanical engineering, those activities are completed with personnal works acchieved during the last three years of study (3rd bachelor, 1st master and training period at the beginning of the 2nd master). These project gradually increase in term of scope and amount of credit. I also co-supervise the group projects in 2nd year of mater (ecoshell, eurobot or industrial group projects) and coordinate the training periods for mechanical engineering students.
Research
The modeling of manufacturing processes is one of the research topics addressed by the Machine design and production engineering Department. I have developed an activity in modeling at the macroscopic scale of machining to simulate a high-speed milling process as a whole to predict the vibration behavior of the part-machine assembly. Currently, I am pursuing my research in the field of mechanical manufacturing (machining, robotic machining and additive manufacturing) and CAD/CAM (generation of machining trajectories for milling pockets, analysis of the finishing operations on parts obtained by additive manufacturing, hybrid machining of ceramics,,...). Part of the activities are taken in charge by research assistants. I also co-supervise two research projects in additive manufacturing (optimization of the binder jetting process) and in hybrid manufacturing (production of parts by combining PAM, machining and laser ablation)
